In a world..where everything is crumbling down only one thing can save us and that is stale popcorn and THE MOVIES. From Barbie to Oppenheimer here are the movies surfing to a theater near you this summer.

BLOCKBUSTERS

Fast X is the thrill ride of the summer. This adrenaline rush of a film features Vin Diesel, Jason Momoa, John Cena, Ludacris, and many other all-star actors. On May 19th speed to the theater to experience Fast X. Speaking of vehicular shenanigans Transformers Rise Of The Beast trucks to theaters June 9th. This Transformers movie is more than meets the eye, the Transformers are turning into animals in this beast of a movie. So many big franchises and properties are releasing movies this summer from the 5th Indiana Jones movie (June 9), Little Mermaid (May 26), Mission Impossible 7 (July 12), and Spiderman: Across The Spiderverse (June 2). The big-name property movie I am most excited about is Barbie (July 21), it looks very fun and I love how colorful it looks. I am very excited to see what Greta Gerwig does with it as the director and I can’t wait to see Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, John Cena, and Will Ferrel on the same screen. Another movie I am very excited about is the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie (August 4). I am a big fan of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and I am excited for the new installment, I might even sneak some pizza into the movie theater.

For The Cinema Lovers

Wes Anderson makes his triumphant return to theaters with Asteroid City (June 16). This movie features a fantastic cast. Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, and Adrien Brody, among others. Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer (July 21) which has been the talk of the film world because of Christopher Nolan’s insistence on not using CGI and making the effects as real as possible. This film is a surefire Oscar nominee.  A24 the studio that released best picture winner Everything Everywhere All At Once, is bringing Past Lives (July 21) to a theater near you. Past Lives is about two childhood friends who meet later in life and are faced with the notions of love and destiny.

Whether you are interested in blockbusters or artsier films come to the movie theater and escape from reality for a bit. Buy some snacks or sneak them in, go with some friends or on your own, it doesn’t matter just enjoy yourself and watch a good movie. This is Angelo Gasbarre signing off.
