About how they conduct business, I had the pleasure of speaking with Connie Gurski who is only in her first year at student life however extremely helpful. I asked her a few questions about our campus pantry. I first asked, “how can you receive items from the pantry” Connie replied “Students can simply come by during open hours and our helpful staff will guide them. If they bring their own bags, we have bonus items for them. We are also in the process of helping students by linking them to additional resources in the community.” The NCCC pantry is accessible to all there are no special requirements”, I then went on to ask her “What are the opening hours and what kinds of foods are available ” Connie explained that ” The pantry is open Monday through Friday with hours based on student staffing ability you can check the NCCC website under student life for current hours. The campus pantry offers a wide variety of items including but not limited to bread, cereal, pasta, rice, potatoes, soup, tuna, mac-n-cheese, pasta sauce, peanut butter and jelly, oatmeal, pancake mix, beef, pork, fish, chicken, milk, juice, eggs, butter, cheese, yogurt, fresh vegetables and fruits we also supply gluten free or personal need items.” Not only can you receive items but you can also donate to drop boxes throughout the campus designated for non-perishables items can also be brought to the student life office located at G-243.
