On January 25th, at 12:30pm in room G117B there was a school senate meeting. The topic was about bringing the creative writing club back, however there was a miscommunication and it is still up in the air.
To bring back an inactive club a student needs to get a packet, from student life, to fill out. 10 student signatures and an advisor is needed. The packet had been filled out, all 10 signatures and a willing advisor Marc Pietrzykowski ready to bring it back but the packet escaped their grasp.
The packet had been turned in January 17th. It’s unknown what happened exactly with the packet from the 17th to the 25th. It’s suspected it was put on the vice president of organizations desk and it wasn’t seen by him.
There was some confusion about whether or not the club was active or inactive. Supposedly the club had been reactivated a year ago and the club never went anywhere. The vice president of organizations thought it was on the active list of clubs but really it is on the inactive list.
The vice president of organizations is supposed to look more into it and contact the girl that is working on getting the creative writing club active again.
As of right now it is unknown what will happen with the creative writing club. It is most likely going to be voted back into the active club list.
